CBI summons former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal in Rs 300 crore bribery case

New Delhi: The CENTRAL Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. He has been summoned for questioning in the Rs 300 crore bribery case in Reliance’s insurance scam. He has been asked to appear before the CBI office on April 28.

Satyapal told PTI that he has been summoned to the central agency’s office at The Akbar Road Guesthouse in Delhi. Cbi officials are confused about some issues. He was summoned on April 28 to answer those questions. He is currently going to Rajasthan. So, he gave the CBI time between 27th and 29th.
Reliance had launched a medical scheme for government employees in Jammu and Kashmir. The CBI had registered an FIR against Anil Ambani’s Reliance General Insurance and Trinity Reinsurance broker in the case. Satyapal had cancelled the contract in 2018 when he was the governor there. He had alleged irregularities in the insurance scheme. It was then that the central agency took action on the matter.
Satya Pal Malik had recently revealed a series of explosive facts targeting the Prime Minister and the Sangh Parivar in an interview. Two days later, the former Governor of Kashmir received the ‘award’. Rss leader Ram Madhav has sent a defamation notice to him. The RSS leader alleged that Satya Pal Malik had lied in the sangh and his name. He has now been summoned in the Reliance insurance scam case.
