‘The Kerala Story’ crashes out of Oscar race, south’s ‘Everyone Is A Hero’ wins bet

New Delhi: India is confident of south films for the Oscars 2024. Bengali director Sudipta Sen’s ‘The Kerala Story’ has been dropped. Instead, India’s official entry for next year’s Oscars is Tobino Thomas starrer Malayalam film ‘2018: Everybody Is A Hero’.

In 2023, the South film ‘RR’ rocked the Oscars stage. The film’s song ‘Natu Natu’ won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Which film will be sent to the international awards stage by the country? This was the question among cine fans. The Film Federation of India (FFI) had given 25 days to file an application. The last date for submission of applications was September 10.
