During pregnancy, women should pay attention to body weight, how much weight is normal?

New Delhi: It is normal for a woman to gain weight during pregnancy. This weight is not only for the mother, but also the weight of the foetus that increases slightly inside the body is added to it. The same rule, however, does not apply to everyone.

Everyone, from doctors to nutritionists, says that body mass index is very important mainly in pregnant women. It is normal for women to gain an average of 10 to 12 kgs during pregnancy. In the first stage of childbirth, women have to face many physical changes. If there are symptoms like vomiting, dizziness, feeling weak, then dietary changes are recommended. So many women may not gain weight during that time. Later, as the fetus grows, the woman’s weight also increases.
