Guwahati : A sensational incident has taken place ahead of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council elections. Three Congress candidates each have gone missing from Dima Hasao. The Congress candidates are suspected to have been abducted by miscreants. The congress candidates, who have gone missing, are three candidates from Hamri, West Maibong, Hajadisa constituencies.
They are Dhiraj Langthasa of West Maibong, Damthan Thaosen of Hamri respectively and Hazadisa’s Congress candidate rupnath chengyung. Despite a lot of reports, no trace has been found for them. It is to be noted that the party has lost contact with all the three Congress candidates.
Commenting on the fact that many candidates were running out of jail, the Congress leaders expressed suspicion that the three Congress candidates were being abducted for ulterior motives. The council elections to the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council will be held on January 8. The counting of votes will take place from 8am on January 12.
