Rajiv Gandhi assassination case: All three accused returned to Sri Lanka

New Delhi: Another Sri Lankan national Santhan was killed in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Apart from this, others who were released in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. They are Perarivalan, Ravichandran and Nalini. All of them are Indian nationals.


The three convicts released in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case returned to Sri Lanka on Wednesday. Six convicts in Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination case were released in 2022. Three of them, Murugan alias Sriharan, Jayakumar and Robert Payas, have returned to Sri Lanka. They were residents of Sri Lanka.
After their release two years ago, they were kept in a special camp in Tiruchirappalli. They arrived here last night and left for Colombo. The Tamil Nadu government had earlier told the Madras High Court that they could return to Sri Lanka after getting the deportation order from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
