Modi paid tribute to Vajpayee and Gandhi before taking oath as prime minister for the third time

New Delhi: Narendra Modi is going to take oath as the Prime Minister for the third time. The event was organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening. Earlier in the morning, Modi was seen at Rajghat. He paid his respects in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. Also went to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s monument ‘Sadaiv Atal’. Modi was also seen paying his respects there. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was also with him. After paying respects to Gandhi and Vajpayee, they approached the National War Memorial in the capital. Modi offered prayers there.Modi will take oath as Prime Minister at 7.15 pm on Sunday. President Draupadi Murmu will read the oath to him. Along with Modi, his councilors will also take oath on Sunday evening. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Maldives President Mohammad Muijju and many other state leaders will be present at the event.Not only the international but also the country’s political leadership has been invited to Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.

Citing sources, India Today reported that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was also invited to the event. However, it is not clear whether he will go or not. According to sources, he will take a decision on this after discussing with the rest of the partners of the opposition alliance ‘India’. In a press conference at Kalighat on Saturday, Mamata said that she was not invited to Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. Even if he was invited, he would not go.The BJP-led NDA alliance won 292 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Opposition alliance ‘India’ got 233 seats. Even though the NDA formed the government after getting majority, BJP did not get a single majority. As a result they are under some pressure. BJP has to wait for the partner parties to form the government. NDA members chose Modi as the Prime Minister. Modi has already resigned from the post of Prime Minister after going to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. He remains in charge until a new government is formed. Delhi Police has arranged a three-tiered security zone. News agency PTI reported that Delhi’s airspace was also restricted on Sunday due to the swearing-in ceremony. There will be restrictions in the skies of the capital from 3 pm to 11 pm. However, that restriction will not apply to daily registered aircraft.
