Modi swears in three-tiered security zone, no-flying zone declared in Delhi

New Delhi: Narendra Modi will be sworn in as Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday. Prime Minister and other cabinet members will take oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:30 pm. Many domestic and foreign guests are invited in that event. Strict security arrangements have been made throughout the capital to ensure their overall safety. The area around the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been virtually cordoned off with a three-tiered security ring.

According to Delhi Police sources, tight security arrangements have been made in the entire capital for the swearing-in ceremony. Just as the entire capital was wrapped in security before the G-20 meeting, this time too the entire capital has been virtually wrapped in security. The outermost layer of the three-tiered security would consist of the Delhi Police and the paramilitary forces. Second level specially trained commandos. In the innermost ring will be the intelligence officer and the SPG, who is in charge of the Prime Minister’s security.
Heads of state of 7 countries have been invited to attend Modi’s swearing-in. Their arrival will start from Saturday night. They will be kept in big hotels in the capital. Tight security arrangements have also been made in front of those hotels. The area around the Rashtrapati Bhavan will be declared a no-fly zone from Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, helicopters of the Air Force and the Army Aviation Corps of the Army will be activated from Sunday morning to keep an eye on the capital. These helicopters will carry NSG and Army officials. NSG and Army snipers will be deployed in important high-rise buildings in Delhi. This time Modi will take oath in front of the Rashtrapati Bhavan in front of a huge crowd. Every invitee must also go through a vetting process.
