Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma attacks the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government for failing to meet promises, calling the upcoming election a fight for poor, youth, women, and Hindu pride.

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led government, claiming that the upcoming Jharkhand elections are a crucial battle for the welfare of the poor, youth, women, and the protection of Hindu pride.Addressing a rally in Mandu, Hazaribag, Sarma accused Chief Minister Hemant Soren of neglecting the state’s pressing issues while focusing on personal matters. Referring to Soren’s wife, Kalpana Soren, who has been campaigning for a second term for her husband with the slogan “Hemant Dubara,” Sarma said, “Hemant Soren is busy with his family, but who will address the real concerns of the youth, women, and the poor in Jharkhand? This election isn’t about Hemant ‘dubara’; it’s about bringing back the poor and the youth.”Sarma further criticized the ruling government for its failure to deliver on key promises made during the 2019 election. Specifically, he pointed to the government’s unfulfilled pledge to provide five lakh jobs and unemployment allowances to the people of Jharkhand.“If the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand, we will create 2.87 lakh government jobs and generate an additional five lakh employment opportunities,” Sarma vowed. He also proposed a scheme offering Rs 2,000 per month for two years to graduate and post-graduate students, to help them prepare for job opportunities.Taking a stronger stance, Sarma accused the Hemant Soren government of fostering infiltration, particularly from Bangladesh. “Bangladeshi infiltrators are entering Jharkhand, marrying tribal women, and taking over their lands. If the BJP wins, we will drive them out of Jharkhand,” he stated, underscoring the party’s commitment to protecting the rights and land of local communities.Sarma concluded by framing the upcoming election as not just a battle for Jharkhand’s future, but for the development of the entire nation. He reiterated that the BJP is focused on addressing the real issues of poverty, unemployment, and security while safeguarding the pride of the Hindu community.
