Guwahati:In a significant achievement for Assam, Bhumidhar Barman has been appointed as the Chief de Mission for India’s team at the 4th Asian Roll Ball Championship, scheduled to take place in Goa from December 16 to 19.Barman, who hails from Guwahati, brings a rich background in sports administration and journalism. He currently holds the position of General Secretary of the Assam Roll Ball Association.From 2001 to 2018, he also served as the Joint Secretary of the Assam Olympic Association, contributing significantly to the development of sports in the region. Additionally, Barman played an instrumental role in sports journalism as the Joint Secretary of the Assam Sports Journalists Association from 1997 to 1999. His appointment reflects his extensive experience and dedication to the sports community.
