Arunachal: NSCN-K (YA) cadre held in Longding’s Chattung Village

Guwahati: In a joint operation led by Assam Rifles-Arunachal Pradesh police, a national socialist council of nagalim (k-yung aung) (NSCN-K-YA) cadre has been arrested in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding District, official said on Friday .

Based on specific intelligence input, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Longding Police launched a search operation in Chattung Village in the district.

During the search operation, a cadre was apprehended on Thursday, officials said.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Rifles wrote, “ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS A CADRE OF NSCN-K (YA) IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH #AssamRifles, on 15 Sep, in a joint operation with Arunachal Pradesh Police apprehended a cadre of NSCN-K (YA) from Chattung Village, Longding District, Arunachal Pradesh.”
