Tripura BJP vice president and MLA from Karbook constituency, Burba Mohan, today resigned from the party and will join TIPRA Motha.
Burba Mohan also resigned from the assembly membership.
He submitted his resignation letter to Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty in the presence of TIPRA Motha Chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma.
Speaking to the media, Debbarma said that Burba Mohan decided to leave the BJP and his position as an MLA because he no longer wanted to pursue a political career with a National Party.
Burba Mohan Tripura will join TIPRA Motha this evening.
