Massive protest in Aruachal over Atar Singh death case
A massive protest broke out in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh yesterday over the killing of an elderly trader, Atar Singh Sharma, on October 9 evening.
Meanwhile, traders in Longding also called for a shutdown of the market to protest the killing.
Last evening, a candlelight march was also staged to call for the victim’s justice.
It may be mentioned here that suspected NSCN-K-YA militants shot dead Atar Singh Sharma on October 9 evening when he was at his grocery shop.
At the time of the incident, Singh was at the shop with his wife and son.
Singh suffered a serious injury when a bullet struck him in the chest.
While being sent right away to the Longding Community Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
