Inner line permit (ILP) centres have been set up in at least three railway stations in Manipur.

The ILP centres have been established at the Vangaichungpao, Rani Gaidinliu, and Thingou railway stations.

ILP issuance at the Manipur railway stations of Rani Gaidinliu and Vangaichungpao has been delegated to the Tousem police station.

On the other side, Khongsang police station has been handed the task of issuing ILPs at the Thingou train station in Manipur.

An official travel document known as the Manipur Inner Line Permit (ILP) is one that the state government issues to citizens of India who are planning to visit Manipur for a set amount of time.

On December 11, 2019, the central government decided to extend the ILP rule to Manipur, two days after union home minister Amit Shah made the announcement in Parliament.

According to the system, labourers can purchase six-month passes for the same price as temporary passes for 15 days, which cost Rs 100.

Frequent visitors can get six-month passes for Rs 1000.
