Washington: Screenwriters have been on strike in Hollywood since May 2. This time, the actors of the big screen and small screen have called for a strike with their demands along with the screenwriters. The strike began at midnight on Thursday. The strike has been called by ‘The Screen Actors Guild’. It’s said to be Hollywood’s biggest shutdown in 40 years.
The organisation has demanded a meeting with large companies to demand fairer pay and better working conditions. Apart from this, the biggest concern at the moment is about ‘AI’ (Artificial Intelligence). Organizations are also trying to crack down on the use of such technology. Nearly 160,000 actors and actresses have supported the claim. Almost the same demand was made by the screenwriters there.
