Income Tax department imposes Rs 1,700 crore fine on Congress

New Delhi: A fine of Rs 1,700 crore. The Income Tax Department has issued a notice to the Congress. On Thursday, the Delhi High Court dismissed four petitions filed by the Congress. The Income Tax Department has decided to re-evaluate the income tax returns of the Congress for four financial years from 2017 to 2021.

That decision was challenged by the hand camp. But after it was rejected, it was believed that the Hath Shibir might have to pay Rs 500 crore as income tax dues. But the Congress is facing a much bigger fine than that. Undoubtedly, before the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul-Kharge came under great pressure from the Income Tax Department. Vivek Tankha confirmed the news.
