The President of India Droupadi Murmu is likely to visit Meghalaya this month, this was informed by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday.
However, no official communication on the scheduled dates has been received by the state administration.
The Chief Minister stated that the communication sent to the state requested a list of projects that the President may inaugurate.

“The Crowborough Hotel was featured in that list, but unofficial inputs showed a preference for revealing government projects over private constructions,” CM Sangma said.
Due to this, the scheduled inauguration of the Crowborough Hotel on September 7 has been moved back to next week, said CM Sangma.
The Chief Minister also assured that it will be inaugurated before the end of the Assembly’s next autumn session.
