At least 4 killed in firing at Army base in Bhatinda

New Delhi: At around 4.30 am on Wednesday, firing took place at the Bathinda army base in Punjab. At least four people are said to have been shot dead. Bhatinda SSP Gulneet Khurana said. On the basis of preliminary information, it is believed that an Army jawan opened fire. The area has been cordoned off.

According to a media source, the Station Quick Reaction Team has quickly become active. The area is being cordoned off and searched. According to the latest reports, no arrests have been made so far. The attack took place around 4.35 am, the Army said.
