Moyong, who previously represented Pasighat (East) in the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, assumes the role after thorough deliberations by senior party members.Key figures involved in the decision-making process included Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Sonowal, acting as the returning officer, supervised the election process, while Ashok Singhal, BJP’s in-charge for Arunachal Pradesh, coordinated the leadership transition.This leadership change marks a strategic move by the BJP to strengthen its foothold in the state ahead of future political challenges.
